Nampa, ID : Oregon man sent to hospital after crash on Monday , 5th September 2016
A two-vehicle accident blocked northbound traffic for 90 minutes Monday morning on U.S. Highway 95 north of Parma.
Idaho State Police reported that just before 11 a.m., 76-year-old Manuel H. Valero Jr. of Nyssa, Oregon was driving at a slow speed southbound on U.S. 95 near mile marker 51.5 when he turned left in front of another southbound vehicle, a 2003 Dodge R2500 pulling a 2005 Interstate Inc. trailer.
The Dodge’s driver, Paul D. Page, 47 of Wilder, tried to avoid colliding with Valero’s 1998 Ford Ranger by driving into the northbound lanes, but Valero’s vehicle struck Page’s trailer.
Valero was sent to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Ontario, Oregon, via ground ambulance. His condition was not specified Monday afternoon in the Idaho State Police’s news release.
Page was not transported, nor a passenger in the Ford, 55-year-old Roberto A. Viera of Nyssa, Oregon.
