A Marion man is taken to a hospital after being hit by a car on a road near Cedar Rapids.

Linn County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded to a report of a pedestrian being hit around 12:20 a.m. Saturday.

Officials say 28-year-old Eddie Holloway had been hit by a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old Marin woman. Holloway was taken to Mercy Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
