Phoenix, AZ : 2 injured after woman crashes car into a palm tree on Sunday, 24th November, 2019
A woman who crashed her car into a palm tree Sunday morning was arrested after critically injuring an adult male passenger and a teenage boy, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
The driver has been identified as 24-year-old Alondra Cervantes-Natividad, said Sergeant Tommy Thompson with the Phoenix Police Department.
Thompson said Cervantes-Natividad was traveling westbound on Indian School Road near 35th Avenue around 1:20 a.m. when she failed to control the car and crashed into a large palm tree.
Police said there were three passengers in the car, a 23-year-old man, a 15-year-old boy, and the youngest being an 18-month-old boy.
"Officers arrived on scene and found that the driver and passengers had been removed from the vehicle with the help of witnesses," Thompson said.
The 23-year-old and the 15-year-old sustained critical injuries and were transported tot he hospital, according to Thompson. The 18-month-old was not injured.
