A 26-year-old was killed and two people were hurt in a three-vehicle wreck on a state highway Thursday evening, authorities said.

The wreck occurred on Arkansas 83 near Monticello, about 2 miles north of Rose Hill Cutoff Road, about 5:15 p.m.

According to a preliminary report, 57-year-old Teresa Walton of Pine Bluff was driving a 2016 Dodge Caravan south on the road when the minivan crossed the highway's centerline and hit two northbound vehicles: a 1997 Chevrolet truck and a 2015 Dodge Ram.
