Gluckstadt, MS : Byram man killed in wreck on Calhoun Station Parkway early Tuesday morning, September 20, 2016

A Byram man was killed in a wreck on Calhoun Station Parkway here early Tuesday morning on his way to work for a Nissan supplier.

Madison County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jeremy Williams said they received a call at about 6 a.m. south of the intersection of Church Road.

“The person ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene,” he said. “The vehicle caught fire — it was a massive fire.” Williams said the driver was not in the car while the vehicle was burning. The identify of the driver has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

Williams said they were having trouble tracking down relatives on Tuesday. He said the wreck is under investigation but he said speed was likely a factor in the crash.
