Plain City,OH : Second GlenOak student dies as result of crash on December, Thursday 7th 2017

Thursday afternoon’s fatal single-car crash has claimed the life of a second GlenOak High School student, leaving a local family mourning the loss of two sons.

Kevin Laudermilt died Sunday at Akron Children?s Hospital, according to a news release from the Ohio Highway Patrol.

The 16-year-old junior at GlenOak was the passenger in a 2008 Crown Victoria driven by his older brother Aaron Laudermilt, who lost control of the car on Middlebranch Avenue shortly before 3 p.m. Thursday. The car was traveling at a high rate of speed, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol, when it failed to make a turn and traveled off the east edge of Middlebranch.

Aaron Laudermilt overcorrected, and the car traveled off the west edge of Middlebranch, struck a utility pole and continued on before hitting a tree and coming to rest on the passenger side, the patrol said.

Aaron Laudermilt was pronounced dead at the scene. Kevin was transported to Mercy Medical Center, then to Akron Children’s Hospital.
