Clifton, NJ: Two 21-year-old women dead in crash on Route 3 westbound in Clifton on Friday, July 31st 2015

At least two people were killed and three people injured in a car crash on Route 3 westbound early this morning.The crash occurred around 3 a.m. between Grove Street and Valley Road, Det. Sgt. Robert Bracken said. Five people were in the vehicle and several were ejected.The car ultimately crashed into a utility pole but police are still investigating what caused the crash, Bracken said.The two victims were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead there, he said.Clifton police declined to provide further details on the case Friday.
