SUFFOLK, VA : 4 people injured following multiple vehicle crash in Suffolk on Monday, 8th February 2021

A three vehicle crash in Suffolk left multiple people injured and closed travel lanes on Bridge Road Sunday afternoon.

Suffolk Police and Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to the crash around 2:35 p.m. in the 4800 block of northbound Bridge Road at the intersection with College Drive.

Battalion Chief Dave Harrell says two people were taken to an area hospital. Portsmouth EMS and Chesapeake Fire also responded and took one person each to an area hospital. The four people injured each have non-life threatening injuries, officials say.

The crash caused the roadway to close and reopen around 3:40 p.m.

The crash remains under investigation.
