A driver struck and killed a person crossing a road in Kissimmee Saturday night, according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Winston Wissart, 57, of Kissimmee, was driving west on U.S. 192 around 10 p.m. when a 51-year-old Kissimmee man tried to cross the road at the intersection of Old Vineland Road, FHP Sgt. Kim Montes said.

The man walked into Wissart's 2005 Nissan's path and was hit. The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is under investigation, Montes said.
