Detroit Lakes, MN : Several injured in rear-end crash on Highway 59 Monday on April, Monday 3rd 2017

An accident with injuries was reported Monday afternoon on Northbound Highway 59 at Becker County Road 18, Ogema.

According to the State Patrol, a 2003 Chevrolet S truck was in the turn lane from northbound Highway 59 to turn westbound onto Becker County Road 18. A 2006 Buick Terraza van was also travelling northbound on Highway 59 and rear-ended the Chevrolet truck.

The driver of the truck, Gary Lee Erickson, 68, of Ogema suffered non-life-threatening injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt and was not transported. A passenger in the truck, Kathryn Lynn Erickson, 68, of Ogema also suffered non-life-threatening injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt and was not transported.

The driver of the Buick was Timothy David Lee, 27, of Detroit Lakes. He suffered no apparent injuries, according to the state Patrol.

Two passengers in the Buick, Corinne Anne Devall, 29, of Detroit Lakes and Erin Judith Vanden, 34, of Dent were transported to Essentia St. Mary's hospital for treatment. Both were wearing seatbelts.

Another passenger, Brandy Lee Lee, 26, of Detroit Lakes suffered no apparent injuries.

The crash was reported at 1:30 p.m. April 3 on dry pavement.
