Arbutus, MD : 24-year-old woman killed in a vehicle crash in Baltimore County on Tuesday morning, April 19, 2016

A 24-year-old woman was killed in a vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Arbutus. About 6:30 a.m., Baltimore County Police and Fire personnel responded to a crash in the 5100 block of Westland Boulevard. A preliminary investigation found that a Chevrolet Cobalt heading east on Westland Boulevard entered the westbound side and struck a Ram van, police said. The van then struck a vehicle that was parked and unoccupied. The driver of the Cobalt, identified by police as Jessica Lauren Bowen, 24, was transported to Saint Agnes Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the van was transported to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. His condition is unknown. The crash is under investigation, which is expected to take several weeks, police said.
