Grand Lake, CO : Grove man injured in Disney ATV accident on Saturday, March 18th 2017
A Grove man was injured after falling out of an ATV driven by a Jay man.
According to a report issued by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Micah Gibe, Justin York, 25, Grove, was riding in a 2011 Polaris Razor ATV, driven by Colten Vaughn, 28, Jay, at approximately 2:32 p.m., on Saturday, March 18.
At the time of the incident, the two men were traveling eastbound on a private ATV path located approximately a half mile south of Disney, on private property in Mayes County.
According to Gibe's report, York leaned out the side of the vehicle and fell out of it. He was transported by Air Evac air ambulance to St. John's Hospital in Tulsa with trunk internal injuries. He was later admitted in stable condition.
Gibe said the condition of the driver was apparently normal. His report indicates that the driver was wearing seatbelts, but not the passenger.
Gibe was assisted by members of the the Grand River Dam Authority Police Department and Mesta Ambulance.
