Sampson County, NC : Man killed in morning collision on Tuesday, 20th October, 2020

An early-morning wreck in northern Sampson County claimed the life of a 63-year-old man, whose pickup ran off the roadway, according to N.C. Highway Patrol reports.

At 6:20 a.m., troopers with the patrol in Sampson County responded to a collision involving one vehicle on Church Road, a little less than 4 miles south of Newton Grove. Investigation at the scene revealed a 2005 GMC Sierra pickup truck, operated by Glenn Anthony Naylor, 63, was traveling north on Church Road when it crossed the center line and traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking the concrete bridge railing face.

Naylor died at the scene as a result of his injuries. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
