ADDISON COUNTY, VT : Car crashes slow traffic on Route 7 and 116 in Addison County on Thursday, 20th December 2018

Traffic was slowed on two county roads during the Thursday morning commute by traffic crashes.

Vermont State Police responded to the two car accidents on Thursday, Dec. 20, one of which resulted in the driver being cited for driving under the influence.

The first accident, a two-vehicle collision, occurred at around 7:11 a.m. at the intersection of Route 7 and Little Chicago Road in Ferrisburgh.

Police allege Susan Wry, 51, of Bristol had been driving her 2012 Mazda MZ6 erratically southbound on Route 7 when she rear-ended a 2014 Toyota Prius driven by 60-year-old Douglas Diehl of Chestertown, N.Y. At the time of impact, Diehl was in the process of slowing down due to the traffic signal at the intersection of Route 7 and Little Chicago Road, according to police.
