PUTNAM, CT : Putnam truck crash closes part of Route 22 on Tuesday, 18th December 2018

Route 22 was closed for a period of time when a tanker truck crashed and rolled over Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened around 1:20 p.m., south of the Putnam Town Highway Department.No serious injuries were reported. The tanker, described as a sewage disposal vehicle, was empty.

The southbound lane of Route 22 was initially closed as the scene was being cleared, but the entire road was closed while the truck was removed around 2:40 p.m.
