Flagstaff, AZ: 1 dead, 5 hurt in I-40 rollover crash on Monday, July 20th 2015
One person was killed and five others were injured when their SUV rolled multiple times on Interstate 40 Monday afternoon.Two passengers not wearing seatbelts were ejected at milepost 217. One of them died despite life-saving efforts by medical personnel.One of those hurt was an infant, who was properly restrained.Crews from the Summit Fire Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety and Guardian Medical Transport assisted at the scene.The westbound lanes of I-40 were closed for about 40 minutes.Before the closure was put in place, a vehicle passing the rollover scene was rear-ended by another car, according to Summit Fire Department Capt. Mike Allen. Two people were taken to Flagstaff Medical Center with minor injuries.
