Van Nuys man identified as motorcyclist killed in Los Angeles California
Authorities Wednesday identified the 32-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash on the southbound 405 Freeway in Van Nuys.
He was Daniel Shapiro of Van Nuys, said Kimberley Arnold of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
The crash occurred at 2:38 p.m. Tuesday just north of Burbank Boulevard, said California Highway Patrol Officer Tony Polizzi.The CHP reported that Shapiro was riding a 2007 Honda. For reasons not known, he was thrown off his bike and struck by the right side tires of a big rig. He died at the scene.
