Manatee County, FL : Woman is in serious condition after a collision which caused by a drunken driver on Interstate 275 on early Sunday morning August 24th 2014

A St. Petersburg woman is in serious condition after a collision on Interstate 275 that state troopers say was caused by a drunken driver. Paramedics took Krystal Noel Leggett, 28, to Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton. Shortly before 3 a.m. today, Cathryn Christian Jones, 26, of Norman, Oklahoma, reportedly drove a Chevrolet Equinox east in the westbound lane of a ramp onto I-275. Jones reportedly lost control of the car, struck a guardrail and collided with a westbound Hyundai Elantra driven by Leggett. The Florida Highway Patrol charged Jones, who was treated at the hospital for minor injuries, with DUI with serious bodily injury, DUI with property damage and driving the wrong way.
