Orlando, FL : One person died after motorcycle collided with a van on State Road 50 at Old Cheney Highway on Tuesday afternoon, June 16, 2015

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Tuesday afternoon in Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The motorcycle collided with a van on State Road 50, also known as East Colonial Drive, at Commerce Boulevard, troopers said.

The motorcyclist was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, officials said. Another person was also taken to the hospital, but that person's condition is unknown.

All eastbound lanes were shut down on State Road 50 at Old Cheney Highway while emergency crews worked to clear the wreckage.

The road was reopened several hours later.
