SMITH COUNTY, TX : Smith County crash kills one on Tuesday, 16th October 2018

The name of a 62-year-old man killed earlier today during a two-vehicle crash in southern Smith County has been released by DPS officials, while a second individual was hospitalized following the crash.

According to DPS Sgt. Jean Dark, John J. Talton of Whitehouse was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge James Meredith and transported to a Tyler mortuary.

Keaton Pierce Conder, 18, of Tyler, was transported to CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital-Tyler and is listed in stable condition, she said.
