Omaha,NE : Motorist critically injured in crash after fleeing from trooper on Monday, 7th May 2018

A motorist who fled from a Nebraska State Patrol trooper was critically injured in a crash in the Grand Island area.

About 11:30 p.m. Monday, the patrol said, the trooper attempted to stop a 2005 Chevrolet Impala that was sought by Hastings police.

The trooper spotted the vehicle going north on U.S. Highway 281 just north of Interstate 80, the patrol said.

The driver refused to stop, continuing north and running a red light at the intersection of Highways 281 and 34, the patrol said.
