Guntersville, AL : 2 children hospitalized after Guntersville crash on Sunday, 5th May 2024

Two children were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash late Sunday afternoon in Guntersville.

The Guntersville Police Department responded to the crash on Alabama Highway 227 near Guntersville State Park about 4:17 p.m. Sunday. Police found a 2009 Nissan Maxima and 2009 Ford Flex collided head-on.

Two children were taken to Marshall Medical Center North, but one was later transported to UAB where they are listed in critical condition in the pediatric intensive care unit as of Monday afternoon.

Guntersville Police are investigating the crash.
