Tucson, AZ : 53-year-old Teresita L. Glazier died in a two-car collision on the east side on Saturday night, April 9, 2016
Tucson police identified the woman who died in a late Saturday night two-car collision on the east side as 53-year-old Teresita L. Glazier.
Police received a report of an accident at around 10:20 p.m. Saturday at South Harrison Road and East Pikes Peak Drive.
Shortly after officers arrived, Glazier, 53 and the driver of a 2012 Ford Mustang, was pronounced dead at the scene. The adult male driver of a 2016 Nissan Altima was immediately taken to a hospital, suffering life-threatening-injuries.
Investigators determined that the Nissan Altima was traveling south on Harrison at a high rate of speed, said Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson Police Department spokesman. As the Altima crossed Pikes Peak, it collided with the driver’s side of the Mustang, which was headed east across South Harrison Road.
Excessive speed appears to be a factor in the collision, Dugan wrote in a news release.
