PALM SPRINGS, FL : Greenacres motorcyclist killed in Palm Springs wreck on Tuesday, 16th July 2019

A 22-year-old motorcyclist was killed Tuesday evening in a wreck in Palm Springs, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

Mario Francisco Medina of Greenacres died shortly before 5:30 p.m. after his 2015 Yamaha R6 motorcycle collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado that turned left in front of it on Forest Hill Boulevard.

Authorities say that 74-year-old Gerry Moore of West Palm Beach was turning left into the Lake Shore Plaza from the eastbound lanes of Forest Hill when his truck crashed with the motorcycle, which was heading west.

Medina, who was wearing a helmet, died at the scene.


Moore, who was wearing a seat belt, sustained minor injuries in the wreck.
