DES MOINES, IA : Police ID 2 people in car that crashed into Des Moines on Thursday, 11th August, 2016

Authorities have released the names of two people who were in a car that crashed into a house on the east side of Des Moines.
The crash occurred around 3:40 p.m. Thursday when the driver lost control and the car rammed into the house on East Sheridan Avenue. Police suspect the driver was speeding.
Police identified the driver Friday as 18-year-old Kyaus Davenport, who lived in Tama. His injured passenger was identified as 17-year-old Amaris Walker, also of Tama. She was taken in a hospital.
A woman in the house escaped injury because she was in another room.
