JERSEY CITY, NJ : Police salute veteran officer killed in Turnpike accident on Sunday, January, 7th 2018
Dozens of police officers lined the streets outside McLaughlin Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon to meet the body of a police officer who died last week.
Lt. Christopher Robateau was fatally struck on the New Jersey Turnpike after being involved in a motor vehicle crash. He was on his way to begin his 7 a.m. shift in the East District.
Robateau, a 23-year veteran of the department, was recalled as one of the best police officers in the city.
