Chicago, IL : Seven people injured after car crashes into bus shelter on Chicago's south side on Monday afternoon, Sep 14, 2015

Authorities say seven people were injured when an automobile crashed into a bus shelter on Chicago's South Side.

Fire Department spokesman Jeff Lyle says four of the seven taken to hospitals were in serious, but stable condition. Two others who received minor injuries refused transportation to a hospital.

Authorities say the injured were waiting for a Chicago Transit Authority bus Monday afternoon when an auto carrying two women jumped a curb and slammed into the victims.

Chicago police spokesman Officer Bari Lemmon says tickets are pending against the 58-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle. Authorities say the woman and her passengers were shaken up, but not seriously injured.
