Dane County, WI : Four injured in Highway 14 crash, 1 faces life-threatening injuries on June 13th 2014

Four people were injured in a four-vehicle crash Friday morning in Dane County.

The chain reaction started when a Waste Management truck was struck from behind at about 10:48 a.m. on U.S. Highway 14 south of Old Stage Road in Rutland, according to a news release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office.

The truck was southbound when it slowed to make a pick up and was struck by a southbound beer delivery truck. The beer truck was then rear-ended by a Chevy Suburban.

The contact with the truck caused the Suburban to cross the centerline and strike a Chevy Blazer head on.

Med Flight took the Blazer's driver to a Madison hospital with life-threatening injuries. The remaining three drivers were taken to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release.
