Campton, N.H : Two people injured in a serious crash on Route 175 in Campton early Wednesday morning, May 11, 2016

Two people were injured early Wednesday morning in a serious crash on Route 175 in Campton.

Crews responded to the accident around 3:30 a.m.

One person suffered serious injuries after being thrown from the vehicle, officials said. The victim was transported via helicopter to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

A second victim suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

A German shepherd that was riding in the vehicle disappeared from the scene, officials said. The dog was last seen running toward Route 3.

The accident is under investigation.
