Spencer, IA : Greenville woman injured in bike vs. car accident on Friday, 26th August, 2016

Mary Fairchild, 59, of Greenville, suffered nondisclosed injuries on Aug. 15, when she was struck by a car on Clay County Road B-53 shortly before 6 p.m.

According to the Clay County Sheriff's office, Fairchild was lawfully riding her bicycle eastbound on B-53 when she was struck by a 2017 Cadillac CTS, also eastbound on the roadway. Fairchild lost control of the bike and crashed on the traveled portion of the road.

Lisa Krieger, 42, of Rossie, was driving the Cadillac at the time of the accident. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,500.
