York, ME : Wrentham man dies after 1-car crash in York on Friday, July 15, 2016

A Wrentham man was killed after crashing his car into a tree while exiting the Maine Turnpike in York.

Edward Goldman, 65, of Wrentham, lost control of his car on the exit 7 ramp on the northbound side of the turnpike on Friday. His car overturned and hit a tree while Goldman was thrown from the car, according to the Maine Department of Public Safety.

Goldman was transported to Portsmouth Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No other cars were involved in the crash and it is unknown if Goldman experienced a medical issue before the crash occurred.

The accident remains under investigation by Maine State Police.

The investigation is ongoing.
