Woodland, CA : Amanda Hart, 29, died in car crash in Yolo County on Wednesday morning, April 13, 2016

Woodland police are investigating the cause of a collision that claimed the driver’s life early Wednesday morning.

Amanda Hart, 29, of Woodland, was at the wheel of an eastbound vehicle that struck a tree at East and Court streets shortly after 2:30 a.m., Sgt. Brett Hancock said. Firefighters had to extricate Hart from the wreckage, after which she was pronounced dead on scene.

It was not immediately clear whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash. No other vehicles or passengers were involved, according to police.
