Lapeer,MI : M-24 is reopened following accident on June, Sunday 4th 2017
North Main (M-24) between Nepessing and Oregon streets in Lapeer that was closed following a pedestrian accident earlier this morning has been reopened to traffic. That accident occurred around 8:20 a.m.
A man crossing Main at Liberty Street in the M-24 construction zone was struck by a northbound vehicle. His head apparently struck the windshield. In the middle of the road was one sneaker, a cell phone and a pair of eyeglasses.
The driver’s side window of a southbound vehicle driven by a young woman on her way to work at Arby’s in Lapeer was shattered as the man’s body struck her vehicle.
Neither driver of the cars were injured. Both stopped and were assisting police in their investigation.
