FRESNO, CA : Driver suffers medical episode crashes into panhandler and SUV on Monday, 23rd October 2023

A person was badly hurt after they were struck by an SUV Monday in Fresno.

The California Highway Patrol says someone suffered a medical episode while driving on Herndon Avenue around 11:40 a.m.

Officers say that caused the driver to veer up the Highway 41 offramp and crash into someone panhandling.

After the crash, the driver then went through a fence and rammed into an SUV in the Costco parking lot.
