Four people were injured, including two in critical condition, in a two-vehicle wreck on Sunday afternoon, according to Greenville Fire-Rescue.
The wreck occurred before 2 p.m. on Charles Boulevard near Oakmont Drive. Greenville police redirected traffic at the Red Banks Road intersection, shutting down part of Charles Boulevard for more than two hours.
The preliminary investigation shows that a red 2003 Nissan Altima traveling north on Charles Boulevard crossed the center line and struck a white 2005 Chevy Silverado traveling south near Oakmont Drive, according to Greenville Police Department spokeswoman Kristen Hunter.
The Nissan Altima has extensive damage to the passenger side, top and front of the vehicle, including a shattered windshield. The pickup sustained heavy front-end damage.
Occupants of both vehicles were transported to Vidant Medical Center by Greenville Fire-Rescue. The occupants of the Nissan Altima were the most seriously injured, Hunter said.
