The man behind the wheel of a vehicle that crashed in Posen last week killing three passengers and critically injuring a fourth has been charged in the fatal wreck, Posen police said.
Wesley Rodgers, 32, faces three counts of felony aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in death and one count of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol resulting in great bodily harm, the department said in a statement Tuesday.
Rodgers was driving with four female passengers in the 14300 block of Harrison Avenue around 3 a.m. when he plowed into several parked vehicles, Police Chief Doug Hoglund said. All of the car's occupants were ejected except for Rodgers, Hoglund said.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified the deceased passengers as Jaquira L. Brown, 26, of the 6400 block of South Wood Street in the city's Englewood neighborhood; LaNae Riley, 22, of the 1800 block of South Paulina Street in the city's Pilsen neighborhood; and Tondalia Dubose, 29, of Minneapolis, Minn.
A fourth female passenger who has not been identified was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, Hoglund said.
