Newnan, GA : Sharpsburg man killed in auto crash on 45 Ebenezer Church Road on Saturday morning, July 23, 2016

A Sharpsburg man was fatally injured in an automobile accident Saturday morning.
The Georgia State Patrol has identified the victim as 21-year-old William Darby Digan.

The accident happened around just around midnight on 45 Ebenezer Church Rd. Digan was traveling north when he failed to negotiate a curve, according to Trooper Anthony Clark with the Georgia State Patrol.

After his truck went over into the opposite lane, Digan overcorrected and the truck overturned, according to Clark. He was ejected from the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Drugs or alcohol are not suspected at this time and the investigation remains ongoing.
