GRAVES COUNTY, KY : Advance, Mo. man killed, 3 others injured in two-vehicle crash in western Ky. on Friday, 21st June 2024

One person is dead and multiple others are injured after two vehicles collided Friday afternoon in Graves County, Kentucky.

According to the Graves Co. Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement was notified of a collision at the intersection of KY 440 and KY 408 West--about two miles south of the Lowes Community--just before 4 p.m. on June 21.

Deputies learned that 80-year-old Robert L. Garner of Advance, Missouri, was driving a pickup truck westbound on KY 408 West. He was pulling a single-axel trailer. At the same time, a 16-year-old juvenile was traveling northbound on KY 440 in a minivan.

According to the sheriff, Garner pulled into the path of the juvenile at the intersection of KY 408 and KY 440. The two vehicles collided and then traveled off of the northwest side of the roadway. Both vehicles then hit a utility pole, splitting it in half. Both vehicles came to rest off of the roadway in a field.
