Pillager,MN : Pillager crash injures 3 on January, Thursday 18th 2018
Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 11:09 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Highway 210 and Cass County Highway 1 in Pillager.
The Minnesota State Patrol reported Terence H. Lenz, 76, Nevis, was traveling east in a GMC Acadia on Highway 210 and was turning south onto County Highway 1. While making the turn, a GMC Yukon, driven by Jacob S. Murtley, 24, Longville, was struck by the Acadia, the state patrol reported. The Acadia then struck a light pole before coming to a stop.
Murtley was not injured, but his passenger, Dylan F. Daudt, 19, Longville, was transported to Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd for non-life-threatening injuries. Murtley had a second passenger, Jessica F. Thomes, 19, Longville, who was not injured.
Lenz and his passenger, Catherine L. Lenz, 73, Nevis, also were transported to the Brainerd hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The state patrol reported everyone who was involved in the crash, except Daudt, was wearing seat belts.
The Cass County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
