Orlando, FL : Woman dies day after crashing motorcycle into school bus in Seminole County on Tuesday, April 4, 2017

A 45-year-old Longwood woman died Wednesday evening, one day after crashing her motorcycle into a school bus in Seminole County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Kimberly Rosselot was eastbound on Acorn Drive as 27-year-old Andres De Jesus Torres was driving a school bus north on Longwood Lake Mary Road about 7:50 a.m. Tuesday, FHP Trooper Steven Montiero said.

Rosselot ran a stop sign, Montiero said, and lost control of the Harley-Davidson motorcycle when she tried to avoid hitting the bus.

Rosselot was thrown from the motorcycle and collided with the school bus, Montiero said. She was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center in critical condition. She died of her injuries about 5 p.m.

It was not immediately clear whether there were passengers on the school bus.

Troopers continue to investigate the crash and do not think alcohol was involved, Montiero said. Rosselot was wearing a helmet.
