Sacramento, CA : Man dies in Marin County crash on Saturday, October, 7th 2017

A man died after crashing his car into a parked big rig truck Saturday in Marin County, according to California Highway Patrol.
Reports came in shortly before 6 a.m. that a Chevy Malibu sedan collided with a parked big rig on east Sir Francis Drake Boulevard near the San Quentin State Prison, said Officer Andrew Barclay, a CHP spokesman.
The driver of a semi-truck carrying a large piece of machinery was parked on the shoulder of the road asleep in the sleeper berth section of the truck when the crash occurred, Barclay said. It is common for trucks in the area to park on the wide shoulders, he said.
