LAVEEN VILLAGE, AZ : 19-year-old killed in head-on collision near Laveen on Friday, 8th March 2024

A head-on collision has left a 19-year-old dead, and another person hurt on Friday evening in Laveen Village.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies say the crash happened just after 8 p.m. near the Loop 202 and Broadway Road. Authorities say a 19-year-old man crashed head-on into another vehicle while attempting to pass in a construction zone.

According to deputies, the 19-year-old was rushed to the hospital but later died. The driver of the other vehicle was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
