St. Clair County, IL : Belleville Girl Dies In Head-On Accident On Rt. 158 – Waterloo Father And Daughter Seriously Injured in Millstadt crash on Sunday, August 3, 2014

Courtney Brown, 21, of Belleville, was killed in a three-vehicle crash Sunday night on Highway 158 between Columbia and Millstadt, the Illinois State Police said. The accident happened just before 7-00 p.m. at 158 and Limestone Lane. Brown was going east on 158 when her Ford Escort went off the road to the right, got back on the road, overcorrected, and crossed into the westbound lane. Her car hit a westbound Toyota Camry head-on, and a pickup truck struck the Camry from behind. The driver of the Camry, a 15-year-old girl from Waterloo driving on a learner's permit, was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said. A passenger in the Camry, a man, 41, was airlifted to a hospital. The driver of the truck, a man, 57, from Columbia, was not injured. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene.
