Canton, MS : Driver killed in Madison Co. crash on Tuesday, March 7, 2017

Mississippi Highway Patrol has identified the person killed after a one car wreck in Madison County.

Corporal Eric Henry says 70-year-old Vernon Smith, of Ridgeland, was driving a pick-up truck on Sweet Wright Road when it lost control, hit a tree and flipped. He was killed on scene.

MHP is still investigating this accident.
