BATON ROUGE, LA : Suspected impaired driver crashes into unmarked EBRSO unit on I-12 East near the I-10/I-12 split on Thursday, 31st January 2019

A deputy with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office is recovering after a crash involving a suspected impaired driver late Wednesday night.EBRSO reported Shawn Fleming, 29, was arrested after the crash.
It happened on I-12 East near the I-10/I-12 split around 11:30 p.m.
According to the probable cause report, witnesses said Fleming’s truck drifted over and hit an unmarked EBRSO unit that was parked on the shoulder. Officials said the deputy and his K-9 were on duty at the time.
The PC stated the truck then went into the median and hit a tree. According to officials the deputy was taken to the hospital, where it was determined he suffered a concussion.
