CARROLL COUNTY, IL : 5 injured in Carroll County single-vehicle crash on Wednesday, 21st February 2024

One woman and four children were injured in a single-vechile crash in Carroll County Wednesday, deputies say.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded about 1:50 a.m. Wednesday, after a vehicle was reported to have hit a tree on Illinois Route 78 between Fairhaven Road and Thomson Road, according to a media release.

Deputies said the driver, 36-year-old Kristin M. Dolieslager, was taken to an area hospital by ambulance and later taken by Life Flight helicopter to a hospital in Rockford. Also in the car, four children were taken to an area hospital, and two of the children were later airlifted to Rockford as well with life-threatening injuries.
