The man who allegedly hit and killed a jogger then drove off in New River spent all night drinking and was kicked out of a restaurant for being too drunk before the crash, new court paperwork released on Thursday said.
A grand jury indicted 20-year-old Jacob Andrew Moore on charges of manslaughter and leaving the scene of a deadly crash last Friday. His bond was set at $200,000 cash-only.
According to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, Moore, who doesn’t turn 21 until March 26, was drinking from 11 p.m. on Feb. 23 to at least 8 a.m. the following day. Witnesses said he and three others were told to leave a restaurant at around 9:30 a.m.
