WAIPAHU, HI : 20-Year-Old arrested for DUI after fatal crash in Waipahu on Saturday, 7th September 2024

The Honolulu Police Department (HPD) responded to a fatal single motor vehicle collision that occurred on Leokane St. and Pupuole St. in Waipahu.

On Saturday, September 7, 2024, at approximately 3:44 a.m., it was reported to HPD, Traffic Division, Vehicular Homicide Section, that a 20-year-old man and his 20-year-old passenger were traveling northbound on Leokane St. at a high rate of speed, lost control, and collided with a wooden utility pole.
