DAVENPORT, IA : 2 people in custody following a crash in Davenport on Wednesday, 2nd September, 2020

Two people are in custody following a crash in Davenport Wednesday evening.

Davenport Police responded at approximately 6:30 p.m. where they initiated a vehicle pursuit in reference to a stolen vehicle being driven by wanted suspects.

The pursuit lasted several minutes and was stopped in the area of 53rd Street and Tremont Avenue. The driver crashed into an area of road construction, which caused disabling damage to the vehicle.

The crash did not involve any other vehicles and both occupants in the suspect vehicle refused medical attention.

The investigation is ongoing. Detectives are following up on the incident.
