Fayette County, IN :Two sent to hospital after motorcycle and UTV collide on Saturday, July 4th 2015
An accident between a motorcycle and a four-wheeler sends two people from Indiana to the hospital Saturday afternoon.Fayette County Sheriff's Office says it happened around 4 p.m on the Mount Hope Bypass.A press release says the motorcycle was behind a UTV. When the UTV slowed down, the bike tried to pass them, notrealizing that the four-wheeler was turning.They collided. The UTV occupants were fine. The driver of the UTV was identified as Ryan Davis, 26, of Mount Hope. The sheriff's office says the driver of the motorcycle is Randy Miller of Indiana who was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.
His passenger, Amy Miller, of Indiana, was initially transported to Raleigh General Hospital but was subsequently air-lifted to Charleston Area Medical Center. Her condition is unknown, but emergency personnel at the scene tell the deputies described her injuries are "very serious."Sheriff Steve Kessler says both drivers and bikers need to be cautious as more motorcycles are out during the warmer months.
